Relevant policies

At Stonehenge Equipment Hire, we take workplace and site safety very seriously. While we ensure all our equipment is regularly serviced and maintained to prevent mechanical issues, we recommend that all operators adhere to safety guidelines for their specific equipment.

  • Operator Responsibility: The hirer/operator is responsible for ensuring that all operators are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Reporting Injuries: If any injury occurs while using our equipment, it must be reported to us immediately. We will then assess the situation and ensure any necessary follow-up actions are taken.
  • Insurance and Liability: Hirers are responsible for any injuries or damages caused during the hire period. We advise our customers to have their own insurance in place, as we do not cover third-party injuries or damages outside of our standard policies.
  • Payment Terms: Payment is required upfront at the time of booking or before equipment dispatch unless a credit account is set up in advance.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfer, or cash.
  • Late Payments: Any outstanding invoices after the hire period will incur a late payment fee.

We expect our customers to return equipment in the same condition it was rented, with the exception of reasonable wear and tear.

  • Condition of Equipment: All hired equipment must be returned clean and in full working condition. Any equipment that is returned dirty or damaged will be subject to cleaning or repair charges.
  • Fuel Policy: Equipment must be returned with the same fuel levels it was provided with. A surcharge will be applied for refueling if necessary.
  • Damages and Repairs: If the equipment is returned damaged, the hirer is responsible for the full repair costs. If repairs are not possible, the full replacement cost will be charged.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the hire period will incur no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee of [insert fee] or a percentage of the hire cost.
  • Modifications: Hire periods can be extended with prior notice, subject to equipment availability. If you need to modify your hire, please inform us as soon as possible.
  • Delivery/Collection Charges: Delivery and collection services are available throughout the Greater Brisbane area. A fee will apply based on the distance and type of equipment.
  • Timing: We will deliver and collect at the times agreed upon during the booking process. Any changes to this must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Breakdowns: In the event of an equipment breakdown, please contact us immediately. We will either repair or replace the equipment, depending on the issue. We aim to minimize disruption to your project.
  • Replacement: If equipment cannot be repaired immediately, we will arrange for a replacement or offer a refund for the period the equipment was unavailable.
